In 1910 Jean-Baptiste Moutet founded a small weaving mill in the town of Orthez, in the Béarn region, producing complex woven patterns on Jacquard looms. Today, the fifth generation continues Tissage Moutet's history, incorporating innovative designs as well as reviving old patterns. Their kitchen towels are 100% cotton, rich in color, pattern and design.
Pied de coq refers to a motif used in weaving or printing textiles that resembles the footprints of a rooster as in the pattern that makes up the rooster on this towel.
